Mississippi Power's Economic Development Department, a nationally recognized development group, is prepared to assist you in finding and evaluating the ideal location for your next business - whether manufacturing, warehousing or distribution. Our group of economic development professionals represents the Mega region of Southeast Mississippi. This region is situated on the northern rim of the Gulf of Mexico between New Orleans, LA, and Mobile, AL, and extends northward to include Hattiesburg and Meridian.

Some of the services offered, at no charge, through your Mississippi Power confidential liaison are:

• Site selection services – Services include researching and packaging of available greenfield sites and buildings. The region has twelve Project Ready certified sites with fully developed infrastructure or plans and timelines in place for infrastructure completion. In addition, there are a number of buildings currently available and ready for occupancy.  Amenities may include rail, interstate frontage, or water frontage.
• Introductions - Your Project Manager is familiar with all the areas in the region and will provide you with direct introductions or contact information for your use later.
• Location Services - One of our Project Managers will personally assist you in viewing the area, and in meeting state, county and local political and business leaders.
• Customized Rate Quotes - Our Project Managers will assist you in determining your electrical needs and obtaining a customized rate quote for your business.
• Determining Applicable Incentives and Tax Credits - both state and local
• Request for Information (RFI) - Our research analysis will fulfill your information needs in a timely manner.
